--- So, you remember how I promised to show you guys my process? Here we go; remember these?
Which were based on the client's initial description: "Dense Woods- This terrain is great for defense, ranged attacks into and out of this area are extremely difficult. Due to the thickness of the forest, travel is also impeded. I would like a forest scene that includes a lot of light effects, maybe a sun in late afternoon or early morning shining through various sections of the thick canopy. Maybe a mist I think I have the forests of Germany or Scandinavia in mind."
Well, when I sent my client the thumbnails, this is what they had to say: "Dense Woods: I like the bottom-right the best. I also like the mountain from the bottom-left. Could you incorporate that into he extreme background of the lower-right, give it a heavy distance fog?"
--- So, I took another hour and a half or so to hash out better details and values in greyscale before starting in on the colors and then, three hours later, this is what you get; about five or six hours in all, enjoy!

P.S. I'm thinking about maybe uploading process GIFs if people think they could benefit from them, let me know if you're at all interested.
EDIT: Thanks so much for the daily-deviation guys!
