--- something a little different in the sense that while this is a sketch, it was all done digitally using Photoshop CS4 Ext. Ed.(P.S. this is really big news because it means i've finally found some settings with which i like to sketch digitally, you might be seeing more of this sort of thing!)

There are some really nice photoshop brushes I love to sketch with that imitate pencils and other traditional tools rather well. [link]

Aww, that sucks. I'm sure there must be others out there compatible with CS4. I'll see if I can scrounge up anything.

I've got a few words concerning the depth of the sketch. It's good that the lines get thinner the further away, creates lots of depth. But maybe the arms could have been brought out more by using slightly thicker/darker lines since they are in front of the body. I only say that because of the line dividing the belly area from the scales area seems to be of the same thickness/darkness as are the lines of the arms. Just a tiny remark I thought could be useful. :)
Apart from that it's just cute. I like how you managed to use a snake-ish head with a more massive body without it looking ridiculous.

agreed, i could've used a reverse quickmask to double-up on the line-thickness using a multiply layer if i'd though of it.
